About The Position

Responsible for finding goods and services required by the organization while ensuring the best quality, price, and delivery terms. The primary objective will be to source and buy materials, products, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner, while building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers

Requirements

Proven experience (0-2 Years w/ Masters) (2-3 Years w/ Bachelors) as a buyer in in procurement-related roles.
Solid understanding of procurement principles, practices, and supplier management.
Proficient in using procurement software and systems, as well as MS Office Applications.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers.

Responsibilities

Responsible for obtaining materials, parts, equipment, and services.
Reviews requisitions, obtains quotations, examines bids, and makes awards.
Develops new supply sources when vendors are inadequate.
Coordinates buying activities with departments to achieve desired company objective.
Track the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned commodities to assure best quality at best value (total cost of ownership).
Track and evaluate vendor reliability and performance.
Assures timely purchases, delivery and receipt of complex materials and services
Ensures lowest overall total cost of complex materials and services through the development and choice of qualified suppliers
Develops comprehensive request for quotation/bid process to assure customer and company specifications are met
Negotiates purchase agreements providing contractual protection for the company according to policy guidelines.
Administers buying, supplier and compliance programs.
