About The Position

There are three Cath Labs at UF Health’s Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab. We are searching for someone who is passionate about elevating their clinical skillset and value their professional experience they will acquire while working. At Leesburg Hospital, there are a lot of complex interventional cases and structural heart cases. The Providers are excited about the field and love to share their knowledge with their staff. This is a close-knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated with state-of-art Cath Lab technology and medical devices. There are 3 Cath Labs at UF Health’s Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab. The Director is a servant-leader at UF Health Leesburg Hospital and he is dedicated to the success of his team and the people of his community. This is a close-knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
  • In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR
  • Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
  • BLS
  • ACLS

Nice To Haves

  • FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) OR
  • FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields)

Responsibilities

  • The Cath Lab CVT Charge, under the direction the of the director/manager person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral studies as well as structural heart procedures, and works as a scrub assistant.
  • The CVT Charge also assists with education and mentoring of students and new hires within the cath lab environment and facilitates the delivery of quality, safe patient care.
  • On-Call Required
