About The Position

A large acute care hospital in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced CVOR Tech III (Tier 3) to support complex and high-risk cardiovascular, endovascular, and hybrid surgical procedures. This senior-level Surgical Technologist serves as a clinical expert in the operating room and functions as a mentor and technical resource to the perioperative team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of CVOR and endovascular/hybrid operating room experience
• Demonstrated competency as a lead technologist in the following specialties: Robotic Surgery Total Joint Procedures Neuro/Spine Burn Surgery Vascular Surgery
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) certification – Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required within 30 days of start
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility

Responsibilities

• Perform first-scrub and second-scrub roles for complex CVOR, endovascular, and hybrid surgical procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs and maintain strict sterile technique throughout procedures
• Serve as lead technologist for high-acuity and specialty surgical cases
• Assist surgeons with sponging, suctioning, suturing, retraction, and endoscopic camera operation
• Ensure proper setup, readiness, and handling of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Support patient safety, quality outcomes, and adherence to perioperative standards
• Act as a mentor and technical resource for OR staff
