About The Position

The CVOR Surgical Technologist supports cardiovascular surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, assisting surgeons during procedures, and ensuring all sterile techniques and protocols are followed. This role requires experience in a high-volume CVOR environment and the flexibility to assist with general surgical cases when CVOR volume allows.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of recent experience in a busy CVOR (screening requirement)
• Day shift: 4x10-hour shifts (07:00 – 17:00)
• On-call required: One call shift per week
• One full weekend of call per month
• First-time travelers not accepted

Nice To Haves

• 5 years of CVOR experience preferred
• Experience in high-volume OR settings strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile cardiovascular operating room environment
• Assist surgeons during cardiovascular procedures by passing instruments and supplies
• Anticipate surgical team needs during complex and high-acuity cases
• Ensure proper handling and accountability of surgical instruments and supplies
• Adhere to all surgical safety, infection control, and sterile field standards
• Float to general surgical procedures when CVOR volume is low
• Support both elective and emergency surgical cases for adult and pediatric patients
