About The Position
CVOR Surgical Tech position, 8-hour variable shifts (6:00am–2:30pm), 40 hours/week, 13-week contract. Provides operative support for cardiothoracic procedures, assisting 3 CT surgeons with approximately 50–60 cases per month. Responsibilities include scrubbing cardiac/thoracic cases (including thoracic robotics), setting up operative suites, managing case carts, and ensuring efficient room turnover. Call requirements include 1 night/week, 1 weekend/month, and backup call weekly with a 30-minute response time. Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation required. Floating to regional locations may occur.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years CVOR experience required, including cardiac/thoracic cases and robotic thoracic procedures.
- Prior travel experience required.
- High School Diploma required
- BLS required (AHA or ARC)
- Must live outside 50-mile radius.
- Strong work ethic, flexibility, and ability to manage downtime tasks essential.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree or certificate preferred.
- CST license preferred.
- Epic experience preferred.
