About The Position

The Registered Nurse entering a training program at AdventHealth is responsible for providing and supervising comprehensive nursing care to specific age groups. This role involves utilizing the nursing process to achieve departmental goals while being under the direct supervision of a preceptor during the training phase, transitioning to independent practice upon successful completion of the program. The position emphasizes adherence to compliance plans and maintaining respectful relationships with patients and colleagues.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year acute care experience.
• Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• EKG competency testing per specialty/unit requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Professional Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect nursing care to identified age-specific groups.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating) to achieve nursing department goals.
• Work under the direct supervision of a preceptor during the training program.
• Adhere to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and applicable regulations.
• Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships.
