About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit RN (CVICU RN) to provide specialized care for critically ill patients following open-heart surgeries, ventilator management, and vasoactive drip titration. You will join a collaborative team in a high-acuity, fast-paced Level I Trauma Center known for excellence in cardiovascular and critical care. This environment demands clinical precision, compassion, rapid decision-making, and strong teamwork.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ year of recent ICU experience (PCU experience considered)
• Active Florida RN license or Multistate Compact RN license
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of start
• ACLS (AHA) within 90 days of start
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage critically ill post-cardiac surgery and cardiovascular patients
• Administer medications, titrate vasoactive drips, and operate advanced cardiac and ventilator equipment
• Perform rapid assessments and intervene promptly when patient status changes
• Educate patients and families regarding post-ICU recovery and treatment expectations
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based protocols
• Uphold safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance standards
