About The Position

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. As a CVICU Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care in this 12-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care unit (within the 36-bed MICU) recovering immediate post-surgical open heart patients such as CABGs, valve surgeries, and aortic repairs. The CVICU also provides care to patients on ventricular support devices and ECMO. Critical thinking is what YOU love to do.Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. Requirements

  • Diploma and One (1) year RN experience., upon hire
  • BSN, upon hire
  • ADN , upon hire
  • Foreign Equivalent, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: AZ, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months

  • One year intensive care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
  • Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
  • Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
  • Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices.
  • Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
  • Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians, and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at the bedside.
