About The Position
The CVICU Nurse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and professional nursing practice of assigned unit(s). This includes hiring and firing of nursing personnel, conducting periodic employee evaluations, orienting new employees, and engaging in performance improvement activities. The Nurse Manager is also responsible for managing cost center(s) budgets and supervising RNs, Patient Care Associates, Clerical Associates, and other clinical support personnel. Additionally, the Nurse Manager coaches and mentors the Assistant Nurse Manager, if applicable, for succession planning.
