Position Summary As a CVD Process Technician, you'll be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. In this role, you'll use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. You'll also determine and assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.

Requirements

  • 2+ years prior work experience
  • Associates degree or other technical certification.
  • Experienced Pharmacy Tech, Dental Assistant or other medical technologist (external equivalent).
  • or 4 years equivalent technical Military service
  • Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with TPM concepts
  • Ability to strictly adhere to SOPs.
  • Ability to work off-hours if necessary
  • Electro-mechanical aptitude, Basic understanding of hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity
  • All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor require you to be onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Follows standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/ processes/systems are running effectively.
  • Troubleshooting: Conducts failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures.
  • Monitoring Equipment/Process: Monitors equipment and processes in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes.
  • Working within a team environment and effectively communicating throughout the organization.
