The Cardiovascular/Interventional Technologist performs vascular procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of highly specialized cardiac, vascular, or interventional procedures that require independent judgment to apply prescribed techniques to obtain the best possible diagnostic and therapeutic results. This position requires age related competencies. CCSS: The Cardiovascular Technologists assumes responsibility for interpreting diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Heart Cath Lab in order that data be obtained and entered into the CCSS database. This position requires age related competencies. Performs all other job duties as assigned. Requirements

  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and/or Current Oklahoma Board of Nursing licensure. INTEGRIS Health Edmond and INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center only: and / or current Oklahoma Paramedic License issued by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
  • Successful completion of an Allied Health post-secondary education program that is patientcare related OR equivalent experience.
  • Current CPR certification required within 90 days of hire. ACLS certification within 90 days of hire (cath lab only).
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (written/verbal).

Nice To Haves

  • Cardiovascular/Interventional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performing vascular procedures independent of supervision of technical quality, assist in completion of reports of various reports, development policy and procedures, charge sheets, patient requisition in a timely manner
  • transport patients

  • administration of contrast material according to order, selection of equipment, and assisting physicians as needed
