About The Position

At WeldFit, the position the Cutting Systems Operator / Day Shift responsible in utilizing hydraulic presses to bring parts back into conformity is responsible for the manufacture of extrusions and round-up pressing for extrusions, maintain, maintenance and equipment for productivity and safety by performing the duties and responsibilities below.

Requirements

Must have basic hand tools.
Be proficient in measuring device tapes, level, and gauges.
Must have experience using Oxy/Fuel.

Responsibilities

Communicate with your lead man in all aspect (safety, productivity and quality) of work.
Work and think safety at all times.
Utilize special bending dies and tooling too safely perform the work.
Learn all safety precautions with regards to safe oppress operation including heating extrusions and rounding up various extruded products.
Responds to verbal or written instructions for safety and security calls regarding machinery.
Records all inspections, tests and repairs on preventive maintenance stickers.
Records written recommendations on improvements to reduce setup time and run time.
Prepare and set up appropriate tools and equipment needed to safely perform round up work.
Installs special functional and structural parts and equipment.
Check completed work to ensure conformity to drawings and procedures.
Check oxygen and fuel line hoses prior to use.
Inspects, tests, and adjusts all systems, machinery and equipment on a regular basis.
Perform checks and balances on machines to assure the proper functioning.
Maintain good housekeeping in your work area of responsibility.
Always achieve high production with good quality output.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends with minimum notice.
