About The Position

Middlestreet Graphic and Display is a leading provider of POS displays specializing in high-quality, create and innovated designs. We are seeking a motivated and experienced digital cutting person to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for digital cutting operations, ensuring production efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The job entails the daily operations of a digital cutter, and ensuring that all cutting jobs are completed accurately, efficiently, and within deadlines. The role requires hands-on experience with digital cutting equipment, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of material handling and cutting techniques.

Requirements

Proven experience in digital cutting or similar technical roles.
Hands-on experience with digital cutting equipment (Zund, Elitron, or other CNC routers, laser cutters, etc.).
Strong understanding of materials and their specific cutting requirements (e.g., corrugate, plastics, SBS).
Familiarity with Zund software and digital file preparation.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret cut file, and work orders.
Knowledge of industry best practices for safety, quality control, and efficiency.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and attention to details.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience with Printing Equipment and Cutting Machines.
Understanding the technical aspects of various printing and cutting machinery is essential for this role. Experience operating offset printers, digital printers, and cutters is highly valuable.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite
Mechanical aptitude: Ability to understand and troubleshoot machines.
Attention to detail: Precision in measuring and cutting printed materials.
Safety knowledge: Printing and cutting operations
Ability to lift and move materials (up to 40 lbs).
Ability to stand for long periods and work in a production environment.

Responsibilities

The digital cutting team to ensure the production schedule is met.
Operate and maintain digital cutting equipment (e.g., Zund, Elitron, SEI laser cutters, or similar).
Set up and configure machines, including adjusting settings for specific materials and designs.
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime and ensure maximum efficiency.
Review and interpret cut files, cut patterns, and design specifications.
Ensure material waste is minimized and cutting processes are optimized.
Collaborate with design, production, and quality control teams to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality output.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and best practices.
Monitor machine performance and conduct regular maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
Generate and maintain production reports, tracking performance, efficiency, and materials usage.
Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), including forklifts and motorized pallet jacks, in compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
