As a Cutter – Upholstery, your work sets the foundation for every piece that moves through production. Your attention to detail directly impacts quality, efficiency, and the final customer experience.

Requirements

  • A strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, high‑quality work
  • The ability to read and follow work orders, patterns, and cutting instructions
  • Comfort using manual cutting tools such as straight knives, round knives, scissors, or shears
  • A quality‑first mindset with the ability to identify fabric flaws and make smart decisions before cutting
  • Dependability and the ability to meet daily production goals in a fast‑paced environment
  • Good organization skills to label, bundle, and prepare cut parts for downstream teams
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, reaching, and material handling
  • A positive, team‑oriented attitude and willingness to learn and grow within upholstery operations

Nice To Haves

  • Previous upholstery, textile, or production experience is helpful but not required — we’re happy to train someone who brings the right mindset and work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Hand‑cut upholstery fabrics and materials using tools such as straight knives, round knives, scissors, and shears
  • Read and follow work orders, patterns, templates, and cutting instructions to ensure correct materials, grain direction, and quantities
  • Inspect fabrics for flaws, defects, or inconsistencies and communicate concerns before cutting
  • Maintain tight tolerances for accuracy, alignment, and consistency to meet quality and production standards
  • Label, count, bundle, and organize cut parts to maintain set integrity and support smooth workflow to sewing and upholstery teams
  • Complete production tickets and documentation accurately and on time
  • Keep your cutting area clean, organized, and safety‑compliant
  • Perform basic tool maintenance, including blade changes and sharpening, following safety guidelines
