About The Position

The Customs Trade Agent at FedEx Logistics is responsible for coordinating the documentation required for the entry of goods into the US on behalf of importers. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Data entry/keyboard experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle high volume of work.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to use multiple systems and reference materials.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in logistics is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate documentation required by US Customs/Government Agencies for entry of goods into the US.
• Provide impeccable customer service to importers.
• Obtain correct classification of goods for customs release from various resources.
• Perform data entry and processing of import-related documentation for submission to US Customs.
• Maintain and keep current all shipment documentation in compliance with record-keeping requirements.
• Adhere to all international importing regulations.
• Work closely with internal staff and departments to deliver high service levels to customers.
• Process agency brokerage shipments.
• Ensure compliance with government and organizational policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
