About The Position

CJ Logistics is looking for a dedicated Customs Entry Writer to play a crucial role in our logistics operations. If you thrive on accuracy and love ensuring seamless compliance, this hybrid role (4 days in-office, Des Plaines, IL) is for you! The position offers a pay range of $27.75 - $33.65 per hour with a schedule of 1st Shift Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in customs brokerage or a related field.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a high attention to detail.
• Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) and/or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written).
• A team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and process import/export documents with meticulous care, ensuring full compliance with all U.S. Customs regulations.
• Utilize specialized software to track inventory and shipments, keeping everything organized and on schedule.
• Prepare and submit documentation for duty drawbacks and refunds, and manage customs rejections and inquiries.
• Provide timely and accurate responses to client questions, guiding them through customs processes.
• Handle essential clerical tasks and oversee the complete customs clearance process for goods.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective customs clearance.
