In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the completion of customs entry documentation into the customs database system on behalf of our customers. Requirements

• Experience in customs operations, customs brokerage, or trade compliance within the logistics or supply chain industry preferred
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate customs regulations
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, customs authorities, and external partners
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review customs documentation, including import and export declarations, commercial invoices, packing lists, and other required customs paperwork.
• Coordinate and oversee customs clearance processes, including classification, valuation, and duty/tax determination.
• Determine the correct tariff classification of goods based on their characteristics and composition.
• Ensure compliance with customs laws, regulations, and procedures by staying up-to-date with changes in customs requirements.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders, such as procurement, logistics, and sales teams.
• Identify and assess potential customs compliance risks, and develop and implement mitigation strategies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains in customs operations.
