About The Position
The position involves providing customers with the highest quality service by ensuring consistent customer service and resolution to facilitate the timely release and movement of freight and cargo. The role requires impeccable customer service skills, as well as the ability to prepare, analyze, and submit documentation to relevant parties such as U.S. Customs, agents, and clients, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The candidate will need to anticipate, identify, and resolve potential problems that could delay freight movement, while maintaining relationships with brokers and service providers to exceed customer service requirements. Additionally, the role includes resolving banking and letter of credit issues, advising customers on payment terms, and obtaining payment on delinquent accounts.
