About The Position
The position is on-site in Chesapeake, VA, and is not eligible for remote work or H-1B visa sponsorship. It will start as an intern position, with the potential to convert to a permanent role within 3-6 months if it proves to be a good fit. The role involves ensuring a smooth and timely customs process flow, accurate data entry into the operational system, tracking and tracing customs files, and ensuring accurate client billing. The intern will also need to understand the import and export customs Desk Level Operating Procedure and correctly interpret this information to fulfill customer instructions and expectations. Additionally, the intern will assist with the verification of customs declaration information and its submission to the customs authority, ensuring compliance with regulations at all times.
