About The Position

The Customs Broker Agent plays a crucial role in the supply chain management process by ensuring that all cargo clears U.S. customs efficiently. This position involves data preparation, documentation handling, and maintaining communication with customers and internal teams. Nice To Haves

  • Good knowledge of customs brokerage processes and customs legislation, especially regarding classification, valuation, and origin.
  • Understanding of ocean, road, and air documentation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Data preparation with timely and accurate completion of customs declarations.
  • Uploading and correlating responses for cargo tracking.
  • Learning and owning customer standard operating procedures.
  • Updating changes and keeping the team informed.
  • Sending out billing information to clients.
  • Assisting customers in providing a clear path to the dispatch team.
  • Accountable for individual work board, ensuring timely releases and proper handling of entry documents required.
  • Using and learning the eDOC system to upload, scan, and index all documentation.
