About The Position

Are you a trade compliance expert with a keen eye for detail and a passion for navigating the complexities of global trade? We’re seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Customs Compliance & Foreign Trade Analyst to support Bosch Group’s trade operations across North America. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring seamless and compliant import/export transactions, including those within Foreign Trade Zones (FTZs). You’ll conduct in-depth research, assess the effectiveness of trade compliance programs, and implement key compliance initiatives. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for preparing reports for North American GBs, supporting program implementation, and assisting management with the accurate and timely execution of international trade functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in international business, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in trade compliance, customs brokerage, or import/export operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, import/export laws, and Foreign Trade Zones.
  • Proficiency with trade compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in customs documentation review, valuation, and Country of Origin determination.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics, reporting, and compliance auditing.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Customs Brokerage License or a related area (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist).
  • Experience with compliance systems and tools for trade documentation (e.g., ACE).
  • Knowledge of international trade agreements and their impact on compliance procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on trade regulations, enforcement actions, and international trade agreements.
  • Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of trade compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee and implement various compliance-related programs.
  • Perform compliance reviews of import, export, and FTZ documentation.
  • Assist with complex import/export transactions, including valuation and routing guidance.
  • Maintain consultative communication with management and staff across multiple business functions.
  • Respond to inquiries from freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other vendors.
  • Maintain relationships with key partners to ensure compliance across the supply chain.
  • Generate performance metrics related to import/export processes.
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor changes in trade regulations and communicate relevant updates.
  • Manage and maintain customs records in compliance with regulations.
  • Provide support for other compliance-related activities and special projects.
