About The Position

The role includes directing and supervising all day-to-day functions, duties, and activities for the Front-end department, ensuring the execution of best practices, goals, and standards established for the department.   • Minimum effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Retail or customer service experience.

  • Direct and supervise all day-to-day functions, duties, and activities for the Front-end department.
  • Execute best practices, goals, and Front-end standards.

  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the departments.
  • Monitor and control supply expenses for the department.
  • Manage cash control, sales, and cash items and records for the store.
  • Manage the scheduling of Front-end associates.
  • Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget and profit and loss reviews.
  • Develop and implement a department business plan.
  • Create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management.
  • Implement the period promotional plan for the department.
  • Monitor and control expenses for the department.
  • Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions.
  • Schedule daily, weekly, and monthly price changes.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise the inventory process.
  • Train department associates on inventory/stocking and Computer Assisted Ordering.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures.
  • Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment.
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
  • Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity.
  • Oversee and manage the efficient operations of all functions and activities of the Front-end.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines.
  • Assist management in the supervision and coaching of front end associates.
