Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3-6 years of progressive sales & customer service experience, preferably in an Waterworks, or supply chain setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric approach.
  • Knowledge of industrial products, materials, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and order processing systems.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with strong time management skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing customer needs and industry dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand existing accounts while acquiring new business within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct customer consultations, offering solutions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through effective communication via phone, email, and chat.
  • Process customer orders, inquiries, and complaints efficiently, collaborating with the sales support team.
  • Become a product expert to provide tailored solutions and address customer needs.
  • Collaborate with the sales team for customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain accurate records, address concerns, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate order fulfillment with warehouse and logistics teams, resolving shipping issues.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers, respond to inquiries, and support the outside sales force.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and various departments, ensuring timely deliveries and managing returns.
  • Work with estimating and engineering for cost-effective solutions, providing timely follow-up.
