About The Position
KLA is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our KLA Services team as a Field Service Engineer. This role is pivotal in ensuring the operational quality of our technical equipment and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective problem-solving and technical support. The successful candidate will evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical equipment problems, either via telephone or directly at customer sites. This position requires a proactive approach to managing tools and equipment to improve customer production and minimize downtime. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for repairing system-level problems that may have multiple causes and for which no standard procedures exist. You will represent KLA to our customers, ensuring their happiness with our services and maintaining a positive relationship. Your role will also involve preparing field service reports on customer support activities and documenting recurring problems to assist other supporting functions. In addition to technical support, you will assist Installation Engineers in resolving issues and contribute to the capturing, re-use, collaboration, and improvement of knowledge using available systems. You will handle return materials authorization (RMA) processes to ensure customer returns, exchanges, service, and repairs are executed with speed and accuracy. This position will require an estimated 20% travel once trained, as you will support various projects and initiatives at customer sites. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Level Degree or a Bachelor's Level Degree with no prior work experience, although related work experience is a plus.
