This position is a contractor position 20-40 hours a week for a contract until the end of March with the opportunity to extend based on performance and need. This position requires Strong fluency in English is required, and native or near-native proficiency in German is essential. (Additional language skills are a plus!)

  • Answer live chat messages and support the needs of our users through our Intercom customer messaging platform in both English and at least one of German, French, Italian and/or Polish.
  • Collect and relay customer feedback to the rest of the Hallow team.
  • Identify potential issues and coordinate appropriately with the product team.
  • Support other Customer Support projects as necessary.

  • Experience: We are looking for at least 3 years of experience in Customer Support with the ability to communicate clearly. The position also requires a stable internet connection (at least 10 MB/s) and a computer that can reliably connect to the web.
  • Aptitude for Learning: We'll give you the training to be able to answer most of the questions that come your way, but part of the role involves you learning the user journey and being able to creatively address their questions.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with the following software is a strong plus: Intercom, Stripe, Notion, Slack, Braintree, Zoom, Google Workspace. Candidates should be technically savvy to support our users.
  • Language Skills: Strong fluency in English and native or near-native proficiency (B2 level or higher) in at least one (ideally more than one!) of German, French, Italian and/or Polish is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in all languages you’ll support are essential to provide a high-quality user experience. Official language certification is preferred (e.g., Goethe-Zertifikat for German, DELF/DALF for French, or equivalent).
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, if needed.
  • Familiarity with the following software is a strong plus: Intercom, Stripe, Notion, Slack, Braintree, Zoom, Google Workspace.
  • Growth: You’ll get to journey with us as grow into a much larger team. You'll get to contribute to building up Hallow by directly interfacing with users and helping them learn how to use Hallow.
  • Compensation: We will pay competitive market rates for this hourly, part-time contract position. This position will begin at 20 hours per week and has the potential to ramp up to 40 hours a week depending on need and volume.
  • Flexibility: HQ is in Chicago (USA); this position is remote. We’re super flexible with location/hours; we don’t care when you work, just that it gets done.
