About The Position

This is a residential electrical services business operating in Florida that has recently been acquired by a growth-focused home services platform. The company employs a team of approximately 20 people and is hiring a proactive, full-time Customer Service Administrator to act as the first point of contact for homeowner calls. The role is essential to scheduling service appointments, coordinating technicians, and delivering a warm, professional first impression for customers. We are looking for a highly personable, bubbly, and customer-focused individual to manage inbound homeowner inquiries for our electrical services business. This person will be the first voice customers hear, responsible for turning calls into booked appointments. The ideal candidate has excellent phone presence, is comfortable talking with homeowners, and is eager to learn basic job quoting. Prior deep electrical or construction knowledge is not required, as training will be provided.

Requirements

  • At least 2 to 5 years of experience in customer service, administrative, receptionist, or similar service-based roles.
  • Excellent spoken English and strong phone presence.
  • Bubbly, outgoing, and warm personality suitable for a customer-facing role.
  • Experience with various technology tools for daily task management and documentation.
  • Comfort and prior experience talking to homeowners or customers in a polite manner.
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and stay proactive in managing tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in documenting customer conversations and project details.
  • Ability and desire to learn and be trained on the company’s software tools, basic electrical scope of work, and quoting procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a home services or construction business is helpful (residential services preferred).
  • Experience documenting and booking appointments using any Field Service Management system (like Jobber).

Responsibilities

  • Answer and manage all inbound calls from homeowners seeking electrical services.
  • Act as the front line representation of the company, providing exceptional, warm, and personable customer service.
  • Schedule jobs and coordinate with the field electricians, ensuring an organized workflow.
  • Conduct basic intake of the scope of work during the initial customer call.
  • Document and book appointments accurately in the Field Service Management System (Jobber).
  • Over time, provide rough quotes for basic jobs with guidance from the Office Manager.
  • Support general administrative tasks as required.
