About The Position

The Customer Success Manager (CSM) role at Posit focuses on enabling data science teams in the public sector to effectively utilize Posit's professional products. The CSM will drive customer retention and product adoption by understanding customer needs, educating users, managing renewals, and collaborating with sales and engineering teams. This position is integral to ensuring customers realize the value of Posit's offerings and contributes to the broader R community.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role managing accounts or working with public and government entities.
  • Ability to identify opportunities that benefit the customer.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce for tracking account progress.
  • Interest in a non-traditional data-science oriented role involving R and Posit's professional products.
  • Internally driven by curiosity and continuous learning.
  • Proven ability to make significant decisions with thoughtfulness and empathy.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in various settings.
  • Effective planning and prioritization of work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
  • Track record of exceeding goals successfully.
  • Awareness of the latest trends in the broader data science field and experience with other analytic software.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Google Suite, Outreach, Scratchpad, and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with analytic software such as Python, MATLAB, SAS, or SPSS.

Responsibilities

  • Educate users and decision-makers on Posit products.
  • Communicate regularly with customers about their adoption trends, sentiment, and opportunities for deeper engagement.
  • Manage the renewal process, including quoting multiple resellers.
  • Partner with sales for account expansions.
  • Represent the voice of the customer to inform the sales process and product roadmap.
  • Marshaling resources across the Posit organization to escalate customer issues and support needs.
  • Partner with the Solutions Engineering team to ensure successful product roll-outs.
