Wolfe ResearchNew York City, NY
$80,000 - $105,000

About The Position

The Risk Solutions team brings deep expertise across risk management, equity markets, portfolio construction, quantitative research, technology, and product development. Beyond serving risk managers, we actively support investment decision makers—including PMs, traders, and CIOs—with relevant insights and practical solutions. We work directly with institutional clients to provide both products and advisory services, while also partnering with leading broker-dealers and fintech platforms to ensure our IP is seamlessly integrated into third-party attribution tools, decision-support analytics, and execution systems. We are looking for a driven and polished Customer Success Manager to join our growing client coverage team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of buy-side accounts, ensuring clients derive maximum value from our data products and research. You will be the face of our firm to some of the most demanding and sophisticated investors in the market — and you will love every minute of it.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in a client-facing role such as customer success, account management, client services, or sales — ideally within financial data, financial information services, or fintech.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office and Salesforce
  • Demonstrable experience managing and servicing institutional clients with a high standard of professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Strong communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to translate complex product capabilities into clear client value.
  • A self-starter mentality: comfortable diagnosing and resolving issues independently without waiting to be directed.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a large book of accounts simultaneously without letting anything slip.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience at a financial data or information services firm whose core clients are buy-side institutions.
  • Familiarity with equity markets enough to engage credibly with analysts and portfolio managers.
  • Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder accounts at hedge funds, asset managers, or family offices, where expectations are high and tolerance for friction is low.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with product managers and commercial teams to communicate client needs and influence outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of institutional buy-side accounts — including asset managers, hedge funds, and family offices — and build deep, trusted relationships with investment professionals, analysts, and operations teams.
  • Deliver white-glove onboarding experiences for new clients, ensuring seamless adoption of our platform and a clear understanding of its capabilities.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, business reviews, and training sessions to drive ongoing engagement and uncover expansion opportunities.
  • Act as the first line of support for client inquiries, questions, and data issues — troubleshooting problems independently before escalating when necessary.
  • Serve as the internal voice of the client: synthesize feedback from your accounts and relay actionable insights to the product and commercial teams to inform the roadmap and sharpen our offering.
  • Monitor account health metrics and renewal risk, and proactively intervene to protect and grow revenue.
  • Partner closely with the sales team on upsell and cross-sell opportunities within your existing book of business.
  • Stay current on developments in equity markets with a particular focus on factor risk and analytics to surface insights.

Benefits

  • medical, dental and vision coverage
  • life, accident and disability insurance
  • paid time off packages that include vacation, sick days/leave, paid holidays and paid parental leave
