About The Position

The Customer Services Representative at Kirkland Cancer Center is responsible for various customer relation duties, including receiving incoming calls, assisting walk-in customers, and entering delivery ticket data for new referrals and customer orders for mastectomy supplies. The role involves checking and compiling files for accuracy and completeness, performing fittings of mastectomy supplies as needed, handling insurance verification, and obtaining necessary prior authorizations. Additionally, the representative assists with retail activities, provides customer assistance, manages total sales using Brightree/POS Software, and ensures the normal operation of a retail shop through merchandising, pricing, restocking, and cleaning. The employee may be subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.

Requirements

  • High School graduate.
  • Certification as a Mastectomy Fitter from a recognized certifying body (e.g., ABC or BOC) is required or must be obtained within a year of hire.
  • Data entry and retrieval skills.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in fitting or patient care, is advantageous.
  • Experience in customer service, retail, or sales is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to determine appropriate external breast prostheses, bras, and related garments.
  • Take precise measurements to ensure optimal fit and comfort.
  • Educate patients on the proper use, care, and maintenance of their prosthetic devices.
  • Provide exceptional customer service both in-person and over the phone.
  • Address patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and referral sources.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including fitting details, product information, and follow-up care.
  • Ensure all services comply with relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Stay informed about the latest mastectomy and compression garment products.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels.
  • Schedule fitting appointments efficiently to accommodate patient needs.
  • Open and close shop as needed.
  • Assist with retail activities.
  • Responsible for daily balancing cash drawer, reports, and deposits.
  • Perform related responsibilities as required or directed.
