The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a dedicated, customer-focused professional to join their Christiansburg Customer Service Center team as a Part-time Customer Service Technician. This role involves being the face of the DMV, assisting customers with important transactions and services in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Comprehensive training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, and a desire for career growth. This is a wage position, limited to no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12-month period of May 1 – April 30, with the employment period resetting annually. Wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week, on average, over the 12-month period, and the position offers no state benefits. The DMV serves over 6.2 million licensed drivers and ID cardholders and over 8.4 million registered vehicles across the Commonwealth, supporting various partners including automobile dealers, fuel tax clients, rental agencies, driving schools, and other government and nonprofit entities.
