About The Position

We are currently seeking a Customer Service Technician (CST) for our growing Birmingham/Tuscaloosa division! Our CSTs are responsible for upholding customer satisfaction levels among our homeowners! They both proactively resolve any issues that might arise after the home closes and facilitate all customer warranty requests by either scheduling subcontractors to complete a repair or by making the repair themselves.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
At least 3 years of directly related experience including working in the trades as carpentry, drywalling, texture repairing, painting, etc.
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to various construction sites during the day or at night
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and email
Ability to work overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

Previous demonstrated experience in customer service roles
Experience with minor electrical work, plumbing, and/or HVAC repair work is highly desired
Possess a vehicle capable of carrying construction supplies (a truck is recommended)

Responsibilities

Evaluate homeowner repair issues to determine if they are warrantable items
Process written or electronic work order and/or verbal instructions for homeowner repairs as well as charge-back documentation and invoices
Perform necessary repairs including carpentry work, drywall, texture, or painting repairs
Develop and maintain solid working relationships with homeowners and subcontractors
Schedule and oversee subcontractors making designated warranty repairs; ensure all repairs are completed within compliance standards
Certify warranty work is completed within contractor obligations
Follow-up with homeowners to ensure concerns are addressed timely and professionally
Other duties as assigned
