About The Position

The Lead Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising all functions of the retail store and donation center in the absence of the Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager. This includes overseeing other customer service supervisors and ensuring efficient utilization of staff on duty to build a strong and motivated store team. The role emphasizes customer service and production, promotes sales growth, and attends to store merchandising. The supervisor must maintain a pleasant environment in the store, assist customers courteously, and ensure proper handling of merchandise according to store standards. Additionally, the supervisor will perform daily paperwork, follow cash and banking procedures accurately, and safeguard store cash. The position requires a valid driver’s license, adequate insurance, and passing a background check. The supervisor will work cooperatively with store management and staff, help build a motivated store staff, and maintain store appearance.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year retail sales experience is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain adequate insurance.
  • Ability to perform sufficient mathematical skills to use cash register and complete paperwork.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise without showing partiality.
  • Ensure store safety and security.
  • Assist customers quickly and courteously with their purchases.
  • Maintain a pleasant environment in the store among customers and staff.
  • Perform daily paperwork in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Follow cash and banking procedures accurately.
  • Safeguard store cash and perform mid-day and night bank deposits.
  • Work cooperatively with store management and staff.
  • Help build a strong motivated store staff and support co-workers.
  • Assist in store operations such as stocking shelves and rotating stock.
  • Maintain store appearance through maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to all store policies and procedures.
  • Be aware of shrinkage – internal and external.
  • Recognize merchandising and maintenance needs.
  • Review the Code of Ethics and Corporate Responsibility Policy annually.
