About The Position

The purpose of this position is to handle customer inquiries in person, via telephone, radio, or other technology. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responds to telephone or radio inquiries for a variety of information. Facilitates service for customers, including all utility account maintenance. Provides customer service by responding to requests for information from customers and resolving related problems. Performs administrative duties by copying, filing, faxing, typing, entering data, and preparing, storing, and distributing mail and correspondence. Documents customer information from the general public regarding complaints, service requests, commendations, surveys, and general inquiries. May handle calls after hours due to emergencies. Performs data entry for customer complaints, telephone system reports, departmental monthly reports, and other reports as appropriate. Supplemental Functions: Performs other similar duties as required
