MasTec is currently seeking a Customer Service Specialist to work as an FPL representative for the Storm Secure Underground Program. This program analyzes data from past hurricanes, vegetation-related service interruptions, and other reliability metrics to identify areas that would most benefit from having power lines placed underground. The company has completed hundreds of these neighborhood projects and plans to continue bringing the benefits of undergrounding to more customers in the years ahead.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in the construction industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish).
  • Associate degree.

Responsibilities

  • The position requires candidates to work flexible 8-hour daily schedules that include nights and Saturdays as required.
  • Responsible for contacting each property owner to discuss the project and proposed equipment placement with customer or relocating equipment based on customer preferences.
  • The position requires to have a Florida notary, execute and notarize FPL real estate easements.
  • Gaining the customer’s agreement to proceed with the project as planned and acquiring all necessary signatures for easements and acknowledgement forms.
  • Buy and wear steel-toe boots daily while working in the field and wear all other required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Candidates will drive company vehicles with driver cameras monitoring driving habits to ensure safe driving. Candidate must maintain a 950+ Driver score.
  • Customer outreach will also include on-going communication with the property owners and property occupants throughout all stages of the project, in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Requires great customer service and communication skills, as well as purposeful follow up and documentation skills.
  • Be able to professionally communicate in person, over the phone and email with customers, staff, and vendors.
  • Ability to read and understand construction and engineering plans.
  • Coordinate special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
