About The Position

The Customer Service & Sales Supervisor oversees customer service, transportation and other retail inventory, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely processes. This role is responsible for assessing and managing commercial haulers, collaborating with sales and marketing teams, and identifying the most profitable sales venues for donated items. The Supervisor will also lead a team, ensuring alignment with Rawhide’s mission, operational goals, and financial objectives.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in logistics, retail sales, or transportation management
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and occasional travel

  • Automotive experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise transportation and logistics of donated items to ensure timely and efficient delivery
  • Supervise the customer service team, providing back up, guidance and direction
  • Supervise the Wholesale Sales and vendor relationships
  • Lead and support a team, providing training, direction, and performance feedback.
  • Assess incoming inventory and determine the most profitable sales routes and venues
  • Maintain accurate records and databases related to vehicle donations, transportation, and sales performance
  • Ensure haulers operate in a safe, professional, and reputable manner aligned with Rawhide’s public image
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Production, Finance and Marketing, to optimize the value of donated items
  • Direct and oversee a team responsible for inventory and transportation functions
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Foster a team culture that aligns with Rawhide’s mission and values
  • Oversee the routing and transportation of donated vehicles and retail inventory
  • Work with commercial haulers to ensure adherence to safety and professional standards
  • Address and resolve any donor or hauler discrepancies to maintain a high level of donor satisfaction
  • Evaluate all incoming donated items and determine optimal sales venues based on market trends
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to maximize revenue and improve processes
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to promote high-value retail items
  • Monitor forecasted expenses related to transportation and sales operations
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maximizing profit per item sold
