As a Customer Service Representative at Homesteaders Life Company, you will play a crucial role in providing a wide variety of services to funeral homes, home preneed counselors, agents, marketing organizations, account executives, and policy owners. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver highly responsive, time-sensitive, and customer-oriented service designed to enhance relationships across both internal and external stakeholders. You will work collaboratively with a team to ensure that our customers and the families we serve receive the best possible support. In this role, you will handle a high volume of inquiries, both via telephone and written correspondence, addressing issues related to accounting, claims, and new business processes for both paper and online methods. You will provide information and services related to new business, claims, policy information, and policy changes. Additionally, you will assist agents and funeral homes with online services, including enrollment, reporting, administration, and system navigation. Your expertise will be essential in resolving issues to ensure compliance with state regulatory requirements and company standards, as well as assisting with commission and compensation questions from customers. Moreover, you will conduct system testing to help ensure the integrity of files and that proper underwriting is maintained within limits. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all interactions are handled with professionalism and care.
