About The Position

The Customer Service Representative at ASSA ABLOY will serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support in a manufacturing environment. This role involves handling inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining a high level of product knowledge. The representative will work closely with other departments to enhance customer experiences and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, building materials, or commercial construction is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
  • Good organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
  • General computer skills are required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of competitive and industry documents.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service and support as the first point of contact for customers.
  • Handle inquiries and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide general and technical information as requested by customers.
  • Answer and respond to incoming calls regarding pricing, scheduling, delays, and technical inquiries.
  • Manage after-sales orders including RGA, Short Schedule, and complaints.
  • Assist teammates as needed to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to written inquiries.
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns professionally.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to team goals.
  • Participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with governance policies, regulations, and laws.
