About The Position

The Royal Group (TRG) currently has a position open for a Customer Service Representative in Marion, Ohio. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for cost estimating new projects and updating existing customer accounts as needed.
The Royal Group’s mission is to provide value-added solutions to the most demanding customers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous estimating/computer data entry experience
• Proficient in Microsoft office; advanced level in excel program.
• Excellent communication skills; customer-oriented. Able to speak effectively to employees, managers, customers, etc. Ability to lead meetings and answer questions.
• Possess a high degree of accuracy. Ability to calculate figures, such as discounts, costs, proportions and volumes.
• Possess a high degree of analytical skill.
• Ability to solve a variety of problems and deal with a variety of situation where only limited information and standardization exist
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, operating instructions, training and procedure manuals.
• Ability to sit, stand, grasp, reach, push, twist, climb, bend, use of keyboard and 10-key, lift at least 50 lbs. as required by the job.
• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.
• Must have excellent time management skills and be well-organized.
• Possess a high level of demonstrated leadership ability with other members of management, employees and customers.
• Ability to handle employee relations issues and conflict resolution when necessary.
• Ability to teach and coach others to help them learn quickly and efficiently

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in the corrugated industry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Estimate new projects as submitted by customers, sales staff, design etc.
• Check routing, with input from production staff, on new items to make sure they are correct.
• Quote tooling costs.
• Get prices from vendors on any items that need to be outsourced.
• Quote new quantities for existing items.
• Keep sales updated on when their quotes will be ready.
• Assist sales personnel as appropriate and assist in generating supplemental sales.
• Look for opportunities to cross train and learn other functions of business.
• Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, including safety programs and good housekeeping.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
