Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team. The position requires the person to: Communicate and work with customers and associates at all levels Learn how to and then: assist with reviewing and answering basic inquiries from customers make computer inquiries and entries relating to customer accounts communicate with customers and others as needed to research problems and find solutions collect pertinent information from customers to handle inquiries in a timely and accurate manner. Prioritize and organize work to ensure it is completed in a timely manner Document customer requests and Learn how to and then assist agents with basic tasks Work with confidential and/or sensitive information, data, and matters in accordance with Company standards Maintain punctual attendance according to an assigned work schedule at a Company approved work location Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere upon request

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent is required
  • Must type a minimum of 40 words per minute with 85% accuracy
  • Flexibility for occasional and/or seasonal overtime
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Please note that the ability to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship is a requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct insurance agency/company experience is a plus

Responsibilities
