Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age
Excellent public service skills

Responsibilities

Model customer service best practices, including offering friendly, courteous, and efficient service in the delivery of a high-quality customer experience
Participate in the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department’s Customer Service Division
Have considerable contact with the general public
Provide counter service and general office support
Answer the Village’s main telephone line and route calls to appropriate individuals and/or departments, or provide information and assistance
Respond to verbal and written inquiries and correspondence
Sort incoming mail and process outgoing mail for all departments
Process payments for utilities, citations, municipal taxes, and miscellaneous receivables
Balance cash drawers and prepare bank deposits
Review and approve revenue collections batches for all departments
Enter escrow payments
Perform miscellaneous billings
Process bills for payment
Issue real estate transfer stamps
Respond to FOIA requests
Track tax submittals
Perform data entry and electronic filing
