Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization, data entry, and record-keeping skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Hazardous waste experience is an asset
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands, talk, and hear
  • Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision
  • Indoor office environment approximately 95% of the time
  • Noise level is usually moderate

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service via phone, email, web, and in person
  • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls and inquiries
  • Research, investigate, and resolve customer questions and concerns accurately and efficiently
  • Communicate clearly with on-the-road employees to provide instructions and support
  • Monitor, document, resolve, and report customer complaints and issues
  • Track customer data, maintain account files, and generate work orders
  • Download, distribute, and respond to customer email inquiries
  • Scan contracts and maintain accurate records
  • Work with supervisors to ensure all daily pick-ups are completed
  • Promote a positive GFL Environmental image through professional communication
  • Provide backup support for the Office Coordinator as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Comply with all company policies and applicable laws and regulations
