About The Position

The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for following up on leads and calls potential new customers for the sales department. The CSR will contact customers, review their needs and work to problem solve any issues that arise.

Requirements

  • A High School diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel with a proven ability to manage programs and projects.
  • Exceptional data management and organizational skills and High degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, and courteous telephone manner.
  • Ability to work independently and to conduct assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Capacity to multi-task with speed and accuracy while prioritizing tasks and ability to maintain excellent organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years’ experience in a building material sales and service environment.
  • Basic understanding of the supply chain to the building materials industry.
  • Preferred industries include stair parts or associated millwork, (i.e., molding, doors, or window suppliers).

Responsibilities

  • Provides quotes, confirmations, responds promptly and professionally to customer requests.
  • Setups new customer accounts.
  • Investigates and resolve customers’ order issues and concerns.
  • Enters order information in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Develops and maintains expertise in an assigned specialty area to support departmental efforts.
  • Coordinates warehouse and shipping exceptions with various departments.
  • Collaborates with Territory Sales Representative in proper processing of credits/returns, ensuring the paperwork is complete and that the credit/return is accurate.
  • Communicates with Purchasing Department regarding large sales and/or out-of-stock concerns.
  • Reports to Manager pricing and/or customer needs/special requests.
  • Provides input for catalogues and price lists.
  • Follows established procedures for placing customer orders, servicing customers, adhering to pricing guidelines, and recommends changes when warranted to achieve overall company goals.
  • Assists in training new department personnel, and demonstrates a high standard of teamwork, professionalism, conduct, and dedication to Novo Building Products’ goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
