About The Position

This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently and accurately processing customer’s transactions. The position will also assist with opening new accounts or making changes to existing accounts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and phone.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and ensure accurate and timely completion of all tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for comprehensive, prompt, and efficient processing of customer transactions.
  • Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsements, and enters deposits into computer records.
  • Cash checks from a variety of accounts upon proper verification.
  • Receives and posts mortgage, consumer loan, and other payments.
  • Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift. Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Explains bank services and charges to customers.
  • Opens new accounts including verification and entry of customer information.
  • Educates customers on available services.
  • Process account changes, close accounts, and investigate unauthorized transactions.
  • Process fraud claims.
  • Issues Official Checks and Gift Cards.
  • Reports malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller station.
  • Cross-sells bank products and services as appropriate.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Handle customer questions about things like opening accounts, and helping enroll with online banking, debit, and credit cards.
  • Work with customer account information and account changes.
