About The Position

The Customer Service Representative is tasked with providing excellent customer service for HOM Furniture’s customers. Necessary tasks include: Answering phones to either direct callers to the proper department or to answer any questions they may have. Finalizing orders, taking payments, and scheduling deliveries and pickups. Processing returns and processing initial paperwork for warranty claims. Making changes and cancellations to orders when appropriate. Updating customers on changes to their order status. Processing finance applications. The Customer Service Representative serves as a support for showroom Sales Consultants. As such, they assist with questions and processing orders as needed. Processes sales for accessories and other small purchases. Occasionally, the Customer Service Representative works the sales floor following HOM Furniture’s proven sales methods. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be working towards or have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Six months of customer service experience preferred.
  • Low physical demands required.
  • The employee is regularly required to sit for sustained periods of time and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
