About The Position

PSC Group is now hiring a Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, keen attention to detail, advanced computer skills in all facets, and demonstrates the ability to multi-task in a chemical plant environment

Requirements

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • May require a valid Driver’s License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  • Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
  • Speak, write, read fluent English
  • Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience utilizing SAP is preferred
  • Prior experience working in a chemical plant, industrial or manufacturing work environment is a plus, but not required
  • Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with shippers (customers sending products to the rail terminal via railcar).
  • Work in an industrial environment
  • Process customer orders using various computer inventory systems and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Create and manage a daily load schedule
  • Schedule motor carriers
  • Verify work instructions via customer data sheets
  • Red tag railcars if necessary
  • Verify that motor carrier drivers are entered into the INA system prior to loading.
  • Ensure proper weights of loads are met before releasing drivers and verify bill of laden
  • Oversee that loaders are taking necessary customer samples and entering those samples into the inventory management system
  • Communicate with customers, shippers, and carriers regarding orders and daily operations.
  • Receive, process, and update customer orders in inventory systems (D365, NetSuite, WMS).
  • Create and manage BOLs, pick lists, pick tickets, purchase orders, and shipment documents.
  • Schedule and verify motor carriers and inbound truck appointments; ensure driver compliance in required systems.
  • Manage daily load schedules, confirm load weights, and verify documentation before releasing drivers.
  • Enter production data, update production plans, and reconcile inventory, shipments, and open issues daily.
  • Monitor shipment receipts, perform warehouse transfers, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Investigate and report discrepancies, supporting corrective action processes.
  • Ensure required customer samples are collected and recorded in the system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to support smooth daily operations.
  • Cross-train within the department and complete daily reports and other tasks as assigned.
  • Work in an industrial environment and follow all safety and operational procedures.
  • Red-tag railcars as needed.
  • Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job
