About The Position

The Customer Service Representative role at Emerson is a vital position that focuses on ensuring a positive customer experience and building strong relationships with customers. This role involves managing customer requests efficiently, providing knowledgeable responses, and proactively solving problems to enhance customer satisfaction. The representative will act as a liaison between customers and warehouse operations, ensuring that customer expectations are met and maintained.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience in Customer Service with direct customer contact responsibilities.
  • Three (3) years of experience in Customer Service.
  • 25-50% on call availability after hours and weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of experience with Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and manufacturing business systems including Oracle.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing knowledge and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer service by managing all aspects of the customer perception utilizing customer relationship techniques and communication skills.
  • Act as the liaison between the customer and warehouse operations to ensure that customer expectations are met.
  • Follow up, either verbally or in writing, to every customer request and inquiry within 24-48 hours.
  • Review and research customer inquiries and issues while obtaining necessary information from company policies, procedures, processes, and practices.
  • Coordinate problem resolution with appropriate staff to maintain and improve required customer requested ship dates.
  • Facilitate customer expedites and emergency orders by participating in an on-call rotation that requires responding to customer emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during assigned call shift.
  • Help implement lean manufacturing techniques into the Parts Warehouse.
