About The Position

Do you bring strong customer service and business office skills and want to make a difference in your community? Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support our all 3 of our Health Center locations. This PRN role is often the first point of contact for clients and visitors and plays a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment while supporting efficient clinic operations. We provide fully integrated care for all our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A. Location: On-Site, Belleville, IL, Granite City, IL, and Maryville, IL Schedule: All pick up shifts will fall between Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m, this role is only filling in hours . You can work anywhere from 8 to 40 hours weekly based on need. This is not a role with a set schedule. Compensation The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is $16.00 – $17.00 per hour . Compensation is based on job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service and telephone communication skills
• Knowledge of standard office procedures and use of office equipment
• Good interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Basic keyboarding skills and experience using Microsoft Office products
• Ability to commute between locations as required
• Valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance, and insurability

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and visitors in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner that supports a safe and welcoming environment
• Collect demographic, financial, and insurance information in person and by phone
• Verify insurance coverage and current payer eligibility
• Discuss payment plans, waivers, and fee agreements with patients in a clear and compassionate manner
• Ensure electronic medical records are complete, accurate, and up to date
• Schedule appointments and support clinic flow and access to services
• Operate standard office equipment and support front office operations
• Promote recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care principles, including hope, respect, empowerment, wellness, and connectedness
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive client and organizational information
• Provide additional administrative and customer service support as assigned
