About The Position

As our Customer Service Representative, you’ll work to help our patients check into the hospital. It’s fast-paced on occasion and you’ll be the person they rely on to answer questions during registration. You’ll build trust in these interactions by collecting information accurately and quickly but also by listening with compassion - not just to hear information, but to address their fears, concerns, and questions. To thrive in this job, you’ll need to be a confident multi-tasker who is a quick study with technology and can type and answer phones. You don’t need to have any previous experience or knowledge in healthcare. Since this is a hospital/lab environment, you will need to be prepared to see illness and injuries. We’ll teach you everything you need to know, which makes this a perfect starting point to launch your healthcare career.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Excellent customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Help patients check into the hospital.
  • Answer questions during registration.
  • Collect patient information accurately and quickly.
  • Listen to patients' fears, concerns, and questions.
  • Work on computers and answer phones to intake information.
  • Assist patients in completing their registration.
  • Work across multiple screens and programs.
  • Build rapport with patients in real time.
  • Handle interruptions from clinicians for emergent clinical care.
