About The Position

The Neil Jones Food Company is looking for a Customer Service Representative III at our corporate headquarters in Vancouver, WA. The Neil Jones Food Company processes superior quality, fresh packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. With headquarters in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 35 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.   Summary:  Responsible to handle all aspects of daily order fulfillment and general order management for assigned area including International, Industrial or other more complex customer orders with multiple ship or freight requirements, from start to finish.  Deliver a high level of customer service and satisfaction both to our internal departments/partners and external vendors and customers.  Act as primary contact for orders in assigned area of responsibility.  Assists customers with various requests for information; coordinates orders and deliveries with Brokers and Regional Sales Managers, warehouse personnel and supply chain/logistics as needed to provide timely service to customers. Builds and maintains strong business relationships with both internal departments, stakeholders and external vendors and customers through demonstrating a consistent positive attitude and professional communication both in writing and verbal. This is a non-exempt position.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in business management, sales and marketing, or related field preferred; or, equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
  • 5+ years of order management or customer service experience, preferably using PeopleSoft and in a Food Sales Industry.
  • Advanced knowledge with PeopleSoft order fulfillment software, EDI software and process, and Microsoft suite.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of order fulfillment process and Company product lines.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check including employment and educational verification.

Responsibilities

  • Handles all aspects of daily order fulfillment and general order management demonstrating a high level of order management knowledge and thorough industry knowledge.  Consistently delivers excellent customer service and manages assigned region/sector with a high degree of accuracy.   Maintains strong business relationships with both internal departments and external vendors and customers.
  • Confirm orders or delivery delay/inventory issue back to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Timely and accurately process customer orders with very low error ratio, less than 1%
  • Confirm orders or delivery delay/inventory issue back to customers in a timely and professional manner, documenting any issue in order fulfillment software.
  • Builds and maintains excellent relationships with brokers, buyers, customers, and internal departments.
