Responsibilities

  • Act as a representative to external and internal customers, answering product-related questions and tracing lost shipments.
  • Interpret and clarify customer orders for the shipping department, taking orders or registrations as needed.
  • Connect customers to appropriate support or field staff when necessary.
  • Manage web-based ordering or registrations and confer with management regarding customer credits and return goods for credit.
  • Identify quality assurance complaints and write price differentials on mail orders.
  • Approve allocation of stock in short supply and manage special price quotations and bids.
  • Manage inventories at customer facilities using EDI, forecasting, replenishment, and inventory systems.
